Observing Development-Social Competence

The Social competence of the preschool child is revealed in how he or she gets along with peers. Research suggests that children who fail to achieve social competence in the early years are at risk of developing maladaptive behaviors later in life (Nissen & Hawkins, 2010). In this course, learn how to observe the social competence of children and help them in building a strong connection to others. This course is part of our observation track.
